Thank you for the honest and well thought out review. We appreciate the feedback. I would like to address your specific concerns individually as you have laid out for us. I have reviewed the invoice for reference. These are the things that help us get better at serving our customers! 1. We did not reset the ABS/Traction lights. The techs are always to document warning lights before and after repairs and make sure to do all resets after repairs. We perform a complimentary inspection on every vehicle and upon reviewing this those lights were on prior to service. Which brings me to the second and third point about being charged for diagnostics twice and extra work being recommended. If A vehicle does not start we have no idea what warning lights are on or could be on. All lights come on with the key on. 2: The two diagnostic lines on the order were 1: "The vehicle does not start, please check and advise." 2: "Customer States that they believe their Torque Converter has failed, please check and advise if transmission is salvageable, with just replacing a torque converter." If a vehicle does not start we can do nothing else until it does. So the second concern could not be investigated without the car running. Because I reviewed the repair order I see your confusion as to why there were two separate charges without two separate solutions. I see no solution to why the vehicle did not start and if it was related to your transmission issue then it should have been lumped into just one charge generally at the end. This could be an oversight on our part and I will investigate this and reach out to you about it this week when I have an answer for you. 3: The additional work is always recommended if you need it. In the case of this vehicle it had work that was needed that affected vehicle's general operation that could affect your perception of the repair we made. So the declined work can be tough sometimes when a tech knows if the engine is not running correctly it will affect the way the transmission acts in turn. I am happy that you can see the repair we made was good. 4: Price. Unfortunately, this is what it is. We are the most affordable shop in the city for our specialized work. We are also the most capable and well versed. You will not find another independent repair facility in the city who does what we are capable of doing for anywhere near what we charge. We are at least 25% less overall than any competitor. Usually more like 35-40%. We do our best to provide the best value to our customers as we possibly can. That all said I would again like to thank you for the honest review and we very much appreciate your business. We hope to be able to help you get the rest of your BMW into tip top shape in the future whenever you are ready. We will be in touch this week about the two diagnostic charges. If there is any problem on our end where we overcharged you will will take care of you. Shooting for 6 stars next time to make up for the 4!
